Our data, and how current it is
Every dataset we serve, what it covers, and exactly how current our copy is, read live. Where the most recent weeks look thin, it is the upstream system that has not reported yet, not us, and each source says so below.
Contract Opportunities
SAM.gov · Updated daily
Every federal contract notice, with full descriptions.
Note: Synced from SAM.gov daily. Award notices stay on file for years after award, so the set always includes older records by design. That is retention, not staleness.
Federal Contracts (FPDS)
FPDS · Updated daily
Every FPDS prime contract transaction.
Note: FPDS reports promptly: about 95% of transactions post within 7 days of the action date, so the recent window is near-complete. Each row is one transaction, and modifications stack.
Contract Vehicles (IDVs)
FPDS · Updated daily
FPDS contract vehicles: IDIQs, GWACs, FSS schedules, and BPAs.
Note: Unlike the prime-contracts layer, vehicles are NOT limited to FY2025: they are long-lived, so a GWAC awarded years ago is still the vehicle you must hold today. The full history is searchable on every plan, back to 1982; use active_only=true for vehicles whose ordering period is still open. Kept in a separate table so a vehicle ceiling never inflates a spending total.
Subawards (FFATA)
FFATA subaward reports · Updated daily
FFATA subawards: who the primes paid as subs.
Note: Subawards are filed weeks after the work. Only about 12% appear within 7 days of the action date, so the most recent weeks are always sparse and fill in over time. That is upstream reporting lag, not a sync delay.
Entity Registry
SAM.gov · Monthly extract
SAM-registered entities and their registrations.
Note: SAM publishes the public entity extract monthly, so 'current as of' tracks SAM's latest extract, not a daily pull. New registrations take about 30 days to appear upstream.
Exclusions
SAM.gov · Refreshed daily
The full SAM debarment and exclusions list.
Note: Refreshed daily as a full replace of the current SAM exclusions list (current state, no history). One UEI can hold multiple active records, and about 73% of exclusions are individuals with no UEI.
Federal Hierarchy
SAM.gov · Updated weekly
The federal agency organization tree.
Note: The federal organization tree is small and stable, refreshed weekly. It is reference data used for agency-path derivation.
Wage Determinations
SAM.gov (SCA/DBA/CBA) · Updated daily
Davis-Bacon, SCA, and CBA wage determinations.
Note: SAM keeps every superseded revision of a determination, not just the one in force, so this is a revision archive, not a current-only snapshot (only about 6% of Davis-Bacon records are currently active). Pass active_only=true for the determinations that actually govern a bid today. Re-synced daily.
Attachment Full Text
SAM.gov (notice attachments) · Updated daily
Full text of the documents attached to SAM.gov contract notices.
Note: SAM.gov's own API returns attachment links but never their contents. This is the extracted text layer: PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and RTF, including documents recovered from inside nested archives, with scanned PDFs put through OCR. Deduplicated by content hash, so one document attached to many notices is stored once.
Contracting Officers
SAM.gov · Updated daily
Named contracting officers.
Note: Contracting officer records are refreshed daily from awarded notices.
Pull freshness programmatically.
Every number here comes from GET /api/v1/status, counts plus current-as-of per source.
