What you can filter by

All filters can combine. The tighter the combo, the more targeted the list.

NAICS code: 6-digit code from the North American Industry Classification System. Matches both the firm's primary NAICS and any code in their full NAICS list.
State: 2-letter US state code or DC / PR. Matches the firm's physical address state.
Certification: Self-cert codes from SAM Public V2: WOSB (8W), SDVOSB (QF), VOSB (A5), SDB (27), EDWOSB-sole (8E). SBA-administered programs (8(a), HUBZone) require DSBS.
Active only: Restricts to firms whose SAM registration status is currently active. Off by default to include recently-lapsed firms.

Why DSBS isn't enough

SBA's Dynamic Small Business Search is the official source. It's also free.

The reasons primes still pay GovTribe / GovWin / Bloomberg Government for the same query:

  • DSBS caps results at 5,000 per query. Bigger NAICS / state combinations get truncated silently.
  • Three different access points in the last five years (SAM, GLS, connect.sba.gov). Stale bookmarks, broken auth flows.
  • No API. No CSV export. No way to drop the filtered list into a CRM.
  • UI changes every year, breaking BD team workflows.

This page runs the same query against the same underlying SAM data, served instantly from a search index. The API on Pro Bundle ($39/mo) exposes the full result set programmatically: pull 873K firms into your tooling, not just 5,000.

Data sourced from the SAM.gov Public V2 entity extract, refreshed monthly. Self-cert business types are what the public extract carries; SBA-administered cert programs (8(a), HUBZone, SBA-cert SDB) are not in this dataset and require DSBS as a separate source. Free for up to 10 lookups per minute per IP. Higher volume requires the API on Pro Bundle.
